Tsarist Garb: Mamba MVP

Published by George under Garb, NBA

There was a shot on TNT of Jack Nicholson wearing this Kobe Bryant MVP t-shirt made by Nike last night:

I immediately decided that I had to have it, but after about 20 minutes of frantic Googling and NBA Store browsing, I was left empty handed.

Even worse, I found this, as per kb24.com:

Nike gave this amazing shirt to a handful of people at Wednesday’s game. These shirts are not for sale. However, we got our hands on a few of these beautiful tees and all members of KB24.com are automatically eligible to receive one via a drawing that we will conduct in the next couple of days.

If you care to make a donation to yours truly, I’ll write a puff piece about you or the topic of your choice if you wish. I wear a size Large.

Tsarist Garb: Ovechkin Rock the Red!

Published by George under Garb, NHL

Saw this awesome t-shirt over at Dan Steinberg’s D.C. Sports Bog just now and had to order myself one.

If you didn’t catch my Alexander Ovechkin appreciation post late last week, I fancy myself a bit of a fan of his. I also fancy myself some clever sports gear, so the buy was a no-brainer.

Although the pesky Bolsheviks who uprooted the Tsar have stealthily embedded their propaganda onto this article of clothing, I will let it slide…

From the fine people at Concrete Pond, I present to you the Ovechkin Rock the Red! tee:

A hockey t-shirt to rock during the Stanley Cup playoffs? Check.
Toothless Ovie impersonated Che Guevara? Check.

Go buy one here. DO IT.
