<p>The baseball-loving world is in an uproar over <strong>Armando Galarraga</strong>&#8216;s perfect game being taken away by a bad call by umpire <strong>Jim Joyce</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" src="http://images.cheezburger.com/completestore/2010/6/2/129200179377879226.jpg" alt="Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga perfect game ruined by umpire Jim Joyce" width="500" height="280" /></p>
<p>Yes, Joyce had it in his power to end it then and there, and the replays certainly prove that. But at the same time, what was shortstop <strong>Jason Donald</strong> doing busting his ass at that point of the game?</p>
<p>While some may commend such hustle, I call it being selfish. The young shortstop was recently called up to take the place of <strong>Asdrubal Cabrera</strong>, who was smart enough to break his arm and not have to endure the majority of the season with the lowly <strong>Cleveland Indians</strong>. But what the hell is he doing barreling down the line with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, playing for a cellar dweller? Donald just HAD to chase individual glory by recording an infield single to go 1-3 for the game.</p>
<p>From a franchise that reared the uninspired base-running prowess of <strong>Manny Ramirez</strong> into the league, I would expect much better.</p>

<p>As the <strong>Los Angeles Lakers</strong> visited the White House yesterday, a press conference was also held to announce the acquisition of President <strong>Barack Obama</strong> for <strong>Jordan Farmar </strong>and <strong>Adam Morrison</strong>&#8216;s expiring contact (we are in a recession, after all).</p>

<p><strong>Kobe Bryant</strong> was ecstatic about the backcourt help acquired for him. Said Bryant, &#8220;President Obama has the potential to play a bigger role than <strong>Bill Clinton</strong> did with <strong>Tom Gugliotta</strong> in NBA Jam.&#8221;</p>

<p>Reenactments of <strong>Michael Jackson</strong>&#8216;s &#8220;Thriller&#8221; music video have <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMnk7lh9M3o">long</a> made waves on the web. Lately, athletes have been getting in on the act as well. Although this is slightly late for Halloween, here are five athlete &#8220;Thriller&#8221; dance interpretations:</p>
<h3>Villanova Men&#8217;s Basketball Team</h3>
<p>The 2009 Villanova men&#8217;s basketball team kicked off their season with a Midnight Madness dance performance, complete with single, sparkly gloves and all.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="560" height="340" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EDcupLLlbbw&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EDcupLLlbbw&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h3>Casey Mulligan</h3>
<p>This <strong>St. Louis Cardinals</strong> minor leaguer made a splash a few months back by entertaining fans during a rain delay.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="425" height="344" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MEh6TcmlQes&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MEh6TcmlQes&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h3>Donovan McNabb</h3>
<p>The <strong>Philadelphia Eagles</strong> quarterback has always been prone to busting a move in the end zone, so much so that they even included it in the Madden video game series.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="425" height="344" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_Yq1HhxogI8&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_Yq1HhxogI8&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h3>Matti Hoyla</h3>
<p>This Finnish goalie really took things to the next level, not only performing on the ice in skates, but executing one mean cross-ice moonwalk.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="560" height="340" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VRms38qMyCQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VRms38qMyCQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h3>Ron Artest</h3>
<p>Ron Ron&#8217;s love of Michael Jackson is no secret, as he selected his No. 37 on the <strong>Los Angeles Lakers</strong> for the number of weeks that the &#8220;Thriller&#8221; album was Number 1 on the charts. Here he is joining a dance number in Sacramento.</p>
<p><span style="font-family: Verdana; color: #999999; font-size: xx-small;"><a style="font: Verdana" href="http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&amp;videoid=22706901">Ron Artest Thriller Dance!!!</a><br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="425px" height="360px" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="src" value="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=22706901,t=1,mt=video" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425px" height="360px" src="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=22706901,t=1,mt=video" wmode="transparent" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #999999;"><span style="color: #000000;">Kindly disregard the girlish squeals of delight and appreciate that true showmanship.</span></span></p>

<p><strong>Pablo Sandoval</strong>:<br />
The epitome of all that is &#8216;I Can Has Cheezburger&#8221;</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" src="http://images.cheezburger.com/completestore/2009/7/11/128918208643206950.jpg" alt="San Francisco Giants Pablo Sandoval panda homerun swing" width="408" height="328" /></p>
<p>Despite being left off the final roster for the National League for the All-Star game, Pablo continued to rake. This three-run homer provided plenty of added run support for <strong>Jonathan Sanchez</strong>, as he coasted to notch baseball&#8217;s first no hitter of the season.</p>
<p>Perhaps Sandoval should&#8217;ve just been playing all of his games at catcher and gotten on the All-Star team that way. He sure would&#8217;ve had a pretty big edge over <strong>Yadier Molina</strong> of all people.</p>
<p>I couldn&#8217;t believe my buddy <a href="http://cita-naps.blogspot.com/">Jeff&#8217;s</a> claims about this guy before the season. No one knew who he was, but he said that he would literally be hitting .330. Dude was even sporting the jersey t-shirt before the season started. Now THAT&#8217;S commitment.</p>
