After the recent opt-out frenzy where Elton Brand decided to take less money in order to land another big fish, Baron Davis, Ron Artest now says he regrets his decision to remain a member of the Sacramento Kings.
Ain’t nothing better to foster a feeling of happiness in Arco Arena than a reluctant superstar that regrets remaining with your franchise.
Artest went on to say that he would “never accept a mid-level exception” yet is second-guessing himself for not engaging in a similar Brand/Davis move.
Umm, Ron? You’re set to make $7.4 million next season. The mid-level exception is around $6 million. Isn’t that pretty much would you should take to make something like this happen?
Oh wait nevermind – this is the same guy, that, among other notorious things in his career, just said he’s “made a hundred degree turnaround” in his decision to opt-out. Mathematics are clearly not his strong suit.
Furthermore, what “misleading information” did you receive? By that, do you mean you started listening to the voices in your head again rather than someone like say, your agent?
I can’t handle this anymore. I always coveted Artest as a player, but this is just too much to deal with. Enjoy wallowing in Sacto another year. And then subsequently regretting your next career move.
